This explains what OTR CDL-Prep collects and why. We keep it to what the app needs to work.
What we collect
- Without an account: your answers and scores stay in your browser on your device. We don’t receive them.
- With an account: your email address, your answers and scores (so they sync across devices), and whether you have a pass.
- Spoken check: the text of what you said (a transcript), so we can grade it. We never store voice recordings.
- Payments: Stripe handles your card. We receive the amount, date and a payment reference, never your card number.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase (database and sign-in)
- Vercel (hosting, and anonymous page-view counts with no cookies)
- Stripe (payments and receipts)
- Resend (emails we send you)
- Google, only if you choose “Continue with Google”
- OpenRouter and the AI model provider it routes to (DeepSeek or similar), which receive the transcript of a spoken answer and the practice question to grade it. No name or email is sent.
- Your browser’s speech service: when you answer out loud, your browser turns speech into text. Some browsers, like Chrome, send the audio to their maker (Google) to do this.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.
- We don’t show ads.
Your choices
- Delete your account any time from the account page. That deletes your progress. Payment records are kept as tax law requires, without a link to your account.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it by emailing the address below.
